FINDERS KEEPERS

An 11+ YA story about finding a space in the world. <br><br>The story of Emilie, a twelve year old girl who has retreated into silence and seclusion following the death of her father. She sustains her own rich inner world by searching the detritus left on the mudflats of the River Thames, and this leads her to find a refugee Somali boy who becomes a fellow ‘seeker’. <br><br>Despite their many differences, they share artistic vision and understanding, and soon find something they consider treasure. In their quest for what it is, they realise their own place in the world.
